Running Fueled My Personal Transformation
I was 43, juggling a SaaS startup, and struggling with my weight. I discovered Dan Martell’s Founders Hike and the group’s passion and camaraderie lit a spark in me.I did not see myself as a runner, but a friendly challenge, and the group’s momentum pushed me across the finish of my first Half Marathon.
That moment proved what can happen when you surround yourself with people who believe in leveling up, both in fitness and in life.
First Ever Race
Kelowna Marathon | 2021
The official event was canceled due to COVID, but we ran the course anyway. I finished in 2 hours and 17 minutes, proving that showing up for yourself is often the biggest hurdle.

First 50K
Diez Vista | April 8, 2023
Diez Vista, April 8, 2023 Rain made the course cold and relentless. At one point, I spent 30 minutes trying to warm up. The last 15 kilometers were a battle with my knee, but I walked and limped across the finish as the fourth to last finisher. It was an incredible test of commitment and perseverance.

Second 50K
Squamish 50 | August 20, 2023
Wildfires left heavy smoke in the air, prompting the four friends I was supposed to run with to back out. I felt I needed this race for myself, and finished despite the challenging conditions, walking away with a deeper sense of resilience.

Upcoming Races and Goals
My ultimate goal is to run the UTMB in Chamonix, France. To qualify, I will keep competing in UTMB events to collect running stones. Each race refines my mental and physical approach to distance running, and every experience, no matter how tough, brings me one step closer to the start line in Chamonix.
